Rainbow Bridge gets an Angel

                       When you take a cat into your home, you know you love them with all your heart. One thing we don't think about is what happens to your soul when your beloved cat passes onto the rainbow bridge. We just love them and show them what love is. We take care of their needs mentally and physically. You make sure they are fed everyday, and they have fresh water. You clean their boxes and give them treats. Or you go and buy new toys you can see the excitement in their eyes. I don't think the love of an animal can compare to anything in this world.

                      September of 2015 my wife and I took in two rescue kittens and they were 5 weeks. There was 4 siblings all together. We got the only girl and the spittiest boy. Another foster home had the other two.emaciated kittens. We named the boy Zeus and the girl Asia. The other foster home had two boys named Piggy and Ziggy. They were found in a woodpile. The lady who found them decided she would feed the kittens milk. Well cats are lactose intolerant. There for it will give the kittens diarrhea and they can get dehydrated fast, So when we got Zeus and Asia they were covered in feces and fleas. It was time to give these babies a bath to wash out all the shit and kill these fleas. {Note: This was our first time fostering.}

                         When we got these babies, they were just so sick. We had to bring them both to the vet. Zeus and Asia were sick and we knew it had to be more then just milk. Finally we figured out they had coccidia. Coccidia is absolutely terrible. From what I was taught, very young kittens fade. It's called fading kitten syndrome. When kittens are little you have to do so much for them. We stayed up day and night with these babies. Asia was a bit sicker then Zeus and the other foster mom had piggy and he was not well either. Asia had lost a lot of fluids to water like diarrhea. When a kitten fades its scary. They are so young and fragile. It does not take much. We had to bring Asia to the emergency vet, and had to put her down. She was not going to make it. The night before that Piggy had died.

                          Zeus had rough kitten years. He was a strong boy though. We had to bring him in for coccidia again because the medication was just not working. The medication was called Alben. At the time the vets didn't know about this certain medication that worked much faster. So we told the vet about the medication. For the life of me I can not remember the name of medicine. It worked so much faster and it cleaned out this awful parasite. He was so sick. He luckily ended up putting on weight. We spent nights and days fighting for this soulful beautiful cat. Mommas would sit up with him all through the night. He no longer spit, he cuddled. He suckled and he would make muffins. He would purr at the sight of us.

                          A few weeks went by and Zeus was sick again. He became extremely lethargic and he was starting to be dehydrated. It was the weekend so he had to go to the emergency vet. Let me tell you it's not cheap either. If you don't have money they make it nearly impossible to just walk through the door. We would normally wait till the business week but there was not that time. So we brought him and they gave him fluids. He had an upper respiratory infection. We got there in time, he was going to get better. The veterinarian had told us she heard a mummer in his heart. We got so scared that we started looking around for insurance. That was a joke too. They did not take pre existing conditions everywhere we looked. He was not showing the normal signs of a heart murmur. He was a healthy little bugger after he got better from the URI ( Upper Respiratory Infection ).

                          Last year we had moved so this was a big move for Zeus. He seemed to be a bit scared. All of our other cats felt about the same way. Megan and I had to put them all in carriers. Zeus loved to hide. He was a very scaredy cat. He would only come out for us. There was nothing like coming home to see our cats waiting right by the door for us. Wee would look at us with his big honey brown eyes. His soul shot through his eyes. It's like you could see so many lifetimes. When I would get up in the morning we would cuddle. He would  suckle and muffin my soft blanket and just purr. His purr was beautiful and so heart soothing. Sometimes Wee and I would have tent time which meant we went under my blanket and i would make a tent with my arms. He did this thing where when we sit in the rocking chair he would sit in the seat as soon as I got up. When I would come back I would sit on barely anything and he would scoot his butt over. It was a tight fit but so comfortable and soothing. Megan has always been a video game player. When she turns on the Xbox it didn't matter where he was in the house, he would come running. Then he started to get smarter and at one point almost knew how to open the xbox.

                             Wet food is a big thing in this house. It's a very special time. Each cat has a certain amount because I have watched what they intake. So when it's wet food time it was very special and exciting. I would then give them their servings. Wee loved small medium amount. Our cats would sit in a circle and you could hear Wees lips smacking. Turkey and Giblets was a favorite. I decided to start feeding them prime fillets. They loved them. I then had no idea that they loved flavors like beef and mixed grill. All of the cats had an appetite at this time. Occasionally Romeo, Wee, and Gizzy would take turns leaving during breakfast.

                             This particular day Wee had ate a bit but seemed to be full. So I thought nothing of it because he was not doing anything to different out of the norm completely. Friday seemed like a normal day.Wee had been laying on the top of the recliner when I sat there. We went about our day. Friday night Megan and I planned for her to play Xbox and I was going to listen to music. When I was on my way into the room Wee chased me in there because it was special to him. Except this time when he got on the bed he coughed. He then lost his purr and was lethargic. That night I cuddled him all night. This cough didn't sound strange. He was not dehydrated or anything. So I held him all night which was a bit abnormal. I figured when I don't feel well sometimes I want my mom. So I wrapped my arms in and out of his legs and held him close to me. He was still lethargic into Saturday morning. He seemed to not have an appetite. At this point we wanted him checked out. Sunday he would make it. I know he could do it. He was a strong willed boy.

                          Saturday two weekends ago Wee started to just be lethargic. He would go in his own space and sleep. We kept trying to make him stay with us. He did but ultimately he wanted to go lay off on his own. I tried warming up wet food. He was not interested in it. It's more stinky when you heat it up. So I thought if he was congested he would smell it. Well at least he did when he was a very young kitten. I kept checking for dehydration. I wanted to give him fluids. He went under the bed. The bed was to low for us. We couldn't fit under the bed if we wanted too.So we were finally able to get him and bring him to me. It was getting closer for the evening. At this point we were ready for the Er for Wee. I was scared and Megan was scared. We were stuck. At 3:15 am Sunday morning Wee passed away. We believe it was a heart attack, I found Wee dead. I saw him take a few light breathes and at this point I didn't know if he was dying or if I was seeing things. I saw him breathing so I want pee and laid back down. I didn't feel right laying in bed. My sock was wet. I thought oh no I hope it's just drool. My heart dropped.

To be continued.

Where my Trauma started

             As I laid on the floor, I hope and prayed it wouldn't turn out to be more. As eyes drew heavy and I was so hot. If you could think of how a microwave cooks things from the inside out. That's how I felt. Sweat was just pouring off of me. My wife called 911 as I laid there and rested. She gathered all the cats, so that they wouldn't run outside. They would of have let them out by the way they treated me as an human that was a child. I was laying on the floor as my mom came in. At this point the ambulance people are ready to show up. My mom was waving me down with a fan, the one she made out of a book. She fell to her knees when she got here. If you could have only see that look. It was like the strength of my families life just drain from them. The more sick I felt the more I drained their soul.  The paramedics are horrible. They didn't help me to the stretcher, they also didn't want me to put my sandal on. I was told I would be ...

Sepsis is nothing to mess with

                                   When I awoke from my surgery, I had no idea that I had been in surgery for 4 hours.  Finding out after having surgery that you were septic is frightening. You can die from sepsis. When my small bowel perforated I never thought about getting sepsis all through me. I knew it could happen but I was so drugged up that it was a blur.  My surgeon had really no idea how septic I was till he was opening me up.                                      I was in so much pain I and so messed up that when I woke up it was better we didn't talk much to the infection. It was a scary place mentally to be because you have no control of your body. I noticed I had these tubes on the left and right abdomen. At the end of the tube is almost shaped like a light bulb. When I looked a...

This is my life

                You would think it was uncanny how the world shatters when one vibration is off in our universe. How everything falls apart at the drop of a dime. Chaos every corner you go around and everything starts to slow down. Time doesn't seem consistent everything starts to go distant. By the time that time starts to come back everything till then will be off kilter and everything will be out of whack. I cant stand parallel to myself all the time. Three two one everything has come undone. Now it's almost time again.                This viscous portal of darkness you are not aloud here messing with us. It is a touchy feely subject. Most of all of this is fucked up. Is this portal to the parallel life something we should even know. I pull my divine crystals out and mediate and even push the bad out. Things start to rise one by one. It is when I start to rise again then so do others. ...
